EADIM [1] - the European Academy of Direct and Interactive Marketing is the first institution that provides professional qualifications in direct and interactive marketing created for Europe as a whole.

The Academy was founded by Drayton Bird, one of the world's leading marketing experts, with his busines partner Marta Caricato.

It was created to provide European marketers, especially those who work in Europe's emerging markets, with the practical and theoretical tools to advance in their career.

The academy fulfils a gap in the market. Whilst direct marketing - and online marketing in particular - are booming in European emerging markets, there is no official provider of professional education.

This was recognised by FEDMA [2], the Federation of European Direct and Interactive Marketing, which joined Drayton Bird on his new venture. The initiative is also supported by the Direct Marketing Organisations of 12 European countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine/Russia).

The first qualification offered by EADIM is the European Certificate in Direct and Interactive Marketing. It is a one-year course, taught by leading international marketing practitioners and teachers. The course consists of a one-week residential course (held in Brussels from 7th to 13th September), 11 months of live online learning sessions and a final exam.

The certificate awarded at the end of the course is recognised throughout Europe.
