[edit] Named Referencing

If you want to reference to a source multiple times, you can create something that is called a Named Reference. A named reference works like this: You give a reference a name, and instead of simply adding the full reference next time, you simply add the name to that reference. This will be much shorter text wise, and it will only add the reference to the list once. Here is how its done:

The first reference is fully written out, but includes a name=<Name> part after the opening tag. Example:.
<ref name=wire>http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=19408642&BRD=2290&PAG=461&dept_id=569392&rfi=6</ref>

Any subsequent addition of the reference should be written as: ref name=<Name>. Example:
<ref name=wire/>
