Durham University Oriental Museum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Oriental Museum, opened in 1960, is a museum of the University of Durham in England. The museum has a collection of more than 30,000 Chinese, Egyptian, Korean, Japanese and other far east and Asian artifacts. The museum was built due to the need to house an increasing collection of Oriental artifacts used by the School of Oriental Studies, that were previously housed around the University.
