Duns Tew
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Duns Tew is an ancient north Oxfordshire village, situated halfway between Kidlington and Banbury, and about ten miles east of Chipping Norton. It is technically outside the boundaries of the Cotswolds Conservation Area, but shares many features in common with the region, in terms of its culture, architecture and geology.
Duns Tew is within the boundaries of Cherwell District Council, the most northerly of the four district councils, along with Oxford City Council, that make up Oxfordshire.
The village has an historic church and a 16th-century manor house as well as numerous traditionally-built farms, barns and cottages. With nearby Great Tew and Little Tew; Duns Tew is one of the three villages known locally as the 'The Tews'.
