[edit] Summary

View of the outcrop area of the Buck Mountain coal seam where the mine fire burned close to the surface. The municipal dump in which the fire started was on this same outcropping, but about a third of a mile east of this location behind the Odd Fellows Cemetery. It should be noted that areas which are not affected by the mine fire had 4-6 inches of snow on the ground.
