The Duluth News Tribune (or known locally as The Tribune) is a newspaper in Duluth, Minnesota. It is published by Forum Communications, which bought it in 2006 after The McClatchy Company acquired the News Tribune's previous owner, Knight Ridder.
[edit] Television partners
Before the Tribune's neighbor, KDLH-TV, merged with KBJR-TV, the station had an affiliation with the paper and shared news stories. The Tribune's reporters made frequent appearances on KDLH3news and "Storm Team 3" as it was dubbed, provided the weather for the paper in the top left corner of the weather section. This ended in March 2005.
In 2007, the Tribune began a partnership with KQDS-TV with the Tribune's reporters making appearances on FOX 21 News at 9, and meteorologist Todd Nelson having a weather blog in the top left corner of the weather section of the paper. The section was previously occupied by KDLH weather team.
