[edit] Websites

Dulcinea Media Inc’s first service is the web site findingDulcinea, which is a web directory or human search engine that launched in beta version in November 2007 [3]. findingDulcinea.com differentiates its content from other Human search engines such as Mahalo.com and ChaCha.com in that the site is comprised of three sections: Web Guides (narrated site selection by topic), Beyond the Headlines (news reference), and Netcetera (a magazine-like section with weekly features and daily selection of humorous or otherwise noteworthy Web sites)[4].

Dulcinea Media Inc released a New York City Survival Guide in December 2007 [5] and as a publicity stunt had the Naked Cowboy stand in Times Square to hand out free copies of the travel guide book [6].

FindingDulcinea has been in the media continually since the launch of the site. Coverage includes Fox News Channel, Newsday, 1010 WINS (AM), ABC, WCBS-TV, MediaPost, The New York Times, New York Post, The CW Television Network, and WNBC.

[edit] Criticism

In April of 2007 Dulcinea Media, Inc was criticized by the American Society of Journalists and Authors for a clause in its freelance contract that allowed the company to retain ownership of work for which it had paid a kill fee.[7]
