[edit] gold escort route

There are signs along the route that identify historic points along the gold escort route from teh Victorian goldfields to Adelaide, but I have been unable to discover why the gold was taken to Adelaide instead of Melbourne. Any ideas? --Scott Davis ^Talk 13:29, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
