Frasier and Niles are horrified to learn that they are investors in a group which is about to demolish Martin's long-time bar hangout - and terrified of what their father will say when he finds out.

  • One of the titlecards (Where nobody knows their names) is an obvious reference to the Cheers intro, Where Everybody Knows Your Name.
  • At the end of the episode when Niles says he is planning on stopping the demolition, he claims it is not just for Duke's but for all the other small bars of the world mentioning Moe's in reference to the Simpson's local bar in Springfield.
