Talk:Dubrow's Cafeteria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] pulled content
this article had some first-hand stuff added by someone who obviously meant well but wasn't familiar with the O.R. rule. I'm transcribing it here for posterity, and because it might be useful in expanding the article in future.
- Dubrows , specifically, on 38th was far more than a food stop.
- It was the hub of the ILGWU and union officers.
- There were more concealed .45 Colts and SW 38's than the cheese cakes could hold.
- Few people realize that the Garment Center was founded and run over tables at Dubrows and not Jordans Lobster Farm In Sheepshead Bay
- I Know...My Dad carried one of those .45's. He was an officer of the Joint Board of the ILGWU. That is how I found retirement......In Florida.
- Always.....Look For The Union Lable!
also, the article had a photo of the Dubrow family, but it was pulled for copyright uncertainty.
