The Dublin Food Co-op in Dublin, Ireland is a food cooperative that has been in existence for about 25 years. It was formally incorporated in 1991 as a cooperative limited company under the rules of the Industrial and Providential Societies Acts, which provide for the legal structuring of not-for-profit organisations.
It is currently in the throes of moving to a new and improved location. It has an active membership of about 1,200. Membership is not just about getting reduced prices and supporting the co-op, it can also be a social thing.
