DuBose Ausley was born (May 13, 1937) in Tallahassee, Florida.[1]
DuBose Ausley became Chairman of the Florida Board of Regents in 1981. Prior to this position, he served as Chairman of the Florida Commission on Ethics.[2]

Ausley previously served on the United States Circuit Judge Nominating Commission. He also served on the Florida Council of 100, and was a member of the Board of Regents from (1978-1994). It should be noted he was a Captain in the U.S. Army.

Ausley received his Bachelors degree from Washington & Lee University in 1959, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida in 1962.
