Duan Yihe (died September 5, 2007) was a member of the Chinese People's Congress from Jinan, Shandong Province. He was arrested and charged with assassinating his mistress Liu Haiping in a July 9, 2007 bombing that shocked the nation.[1] The victim's Honda Sedan was ripped apart by high explosives, her lower body entirely destroyed, while her still intact upper torso landed 30 meters away. Yihe received the death penalty and was reportedly executed on September 5, 2007, together with his cousin.[2]
