Between 1924 and 1950, there were, in effect, two Ireland national football teams, chosen by two rival associations; the Northern Ireland - based IFA and the FAI which was based in the Irish Free State, later the Republic of Ireland. Both associations claimed jurisdiction over the whole of Ireland and selected players from the whole island. As a result several notable Irish players from this era played for both teams. This category contains footballers who played for both Ireland (IFA) and either the Irish Free State and it's successor, Ireland (FAI).
