[edit] Jacqueline du Pré 1673?
after a precursory search, beyond the referenced citation—which is from a fansite—i have been unable to otherwise find anywhere that the cello has been christened with a new name. --emerson7 | Talk 20:21, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Renaissance le Corbeau 13:21, 25 June 2007 (UTC) I have contacted LYNN HARRELL at the "SHEPHERD SCHOOL OF MUSIC" and asked if he can tell me if this is fact or fiction. Will update as soon as I get feedback.
Renaissance le Corbeau 00:08, 3 August 2007 (UTC) Email received from Britta Schmidt, Personal Assistant to Lynn Harrell. In which she writes:Yes, I bought the cello from DuPre in 1984 years before she died. I legally took the steps to have it named "the Jacqueline DuPre Stradivari" because she played it before she had the "Davidoff Stradivari 1712"
