Duško Vujošević

Duško "Dule" Vujošević (Serbian Cyrillic: Душко Вујошевић - Дуле) (born 3 March 1959 in Titograd, SR Montenegro, Yugoslavia) is Serbian and Montenegrin basketball coach. During a long and fruitful career, he achieved the greatest results with KK Partizan Belgrade.

Duško Vujošević began his coaching career as a 17-year old, in 1976. Until 1982 he coached various junior teams in Partizan. After that, he moved to OKK Beograd for one season and led the club's junior team to the Yugoslav title. The same year, he worked with the seniors of OKK Beograd.
After his military service, he worked at Mladost Zemun for a year and then returned to KK Partizan on the eve of the 1985-86 season, to become assistant coach. He shortly took over the head coach job after his predecessor was fired and won the Yugoslav title that very season. In the 1987-88 season, he took Partizan to the European Champions Cup Final Four in Gent and finished third. In the following season, Vujošević led Partizan to the Korać Cup title and the Yugoslav Cup trophy.
In the 1989-90 season, he was the head coach of the Spanish team Huelva Granada. The following season he returned to Partizan and made it to the finals of the domestic league. In 1991-92 Vujošević again made it to the playoffs finals, this time with KK Crvena Zvezda.
From 1992 to 1998 Vujošević successfully worked in Italy, at Brescia, Pistoia and Scavolini. After he returned from Italy, Vujošević was the head of coaching staff of Budućnost Podgorica in the 1998-99 season. The following two seasons, from 1999 to 2001 he was the head coach of Radnički Belgrade.
Since his return to Partizan in 2001, he has won six consecutive national championships (2002-2007), two cups (2002 and 2008), and two Adriatic League titles, in 2007 and 2008, thus becoming the most successfull coach in the history of the club. Under his management Partizan has not been having much success in Euroleague until the 2006-07 season when they made it throuh to the Top 16 stage for the first time since 2001. In the 2007-08 season Partizan, playing with the youngest roster in the elite league, are through to the Euroleague quarterfinals. In a decisive Top 16 match in Pionir Hall in Belgrade they defeated the reigning European champions Panathinaikos BC 82-73, and elminited the Greek team from the Euroleague. In the battle for Final-Four Partizan played with Tauceramica and lost with 1:2 in victories.After third match in Spain Dule criticized game referees.
As coach of the junior national team of Yugoslavia, he won the 1988 European championship in Vrbas and fourth place on the 1991 World championship in Canada. Vujošević is a coach renowned for his work with young players. He was credited to have produced the formidable generation of players who became famous worldwide, after making their debut in Partizan (Divac, Paspalj, Danilović, Đorđević ...). He loves to give playing time to young players.
In the spring of 2003 he was appointed head coach of the national team of Serbia and Montenegro, with which he has won the sixth place on the European Championship in Sweden. In April 2007, he accepted the head coach position of Montenegro.

Duško Vujošević is very popular among Partizan Belgrade fans, Grobari. Because of his six conesecutive home titles they often chant to him before games "Bring us Dule 7th title!".After big victories in Euroleague Grobari stay in the Pionir hall for a long time after the match and call Vujošević for a curtain call with the song "Dule Vujošević shalalala".
In contrast he is disliked by the fans of rivals KK Crvena Zvezda.
