From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Drupa, held every four years at the Messe Düsseldorf, Germany, is the largest printing equipment exhibition in the world.[1] 394,332 visitors attended Drupa in 2004, and 1,866 exhibitors from 52 countries covered a total of 16.1 hectares (39.8 acres) of space.[2]

The current Drupa exhibition is held from May 29 to June 11, 2008. Thousands of industry experts are expected to be present, and corporate representation is expected to include Océ N.V., Hewlett-Packard, MAN Roland, Pitney Bowes, Xerox, Kodak, Canon, CIT, Transeomedia, DirectSmile and Ricoh. Several new technologies are routinely demonstrated during Drupa, and the same is expected again in 2008.

[edit] Theme song

The official 1986 Drupa theme song was nominated as one of the worst corporate anthems ever by The Register. The song featured a country folk style.

In 2000 the theme song concept was resurrected with a dance/pop power ballad, while in 2004 the theme song used a techno dance style.
