• You write: "Charles was born shortly before the death of his father, King Louis VIII."
• King Louis VIII died on 8 November 1226.
• If Charles was born on 21 March 1226, he was born Seven and a half months before the death of his father.
• If you to keep Charles date of birth as of 21 March 1226, may be you should cross out the word "shortly".
