Can Drones take each other out EG in The Return part 2 when the Asuran fire dones from atlantis could sheepard have fired the puddle jumpers drones to take the altantis' drones out?

Are there variants of drones? The drones seen on Earth were much smaller than those on Atlantis. Is this an example of earlier versions, while the one in the outpost was a prototype or possible replacement? Additionally, it might just be me, but the drones carried by Aurora-class vessels appear to be a differing variant as well. 212.219.242.230 09:55, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mini drones were invented in Pegasus
According to Joe Mallozzi's latest blog update, the regular drones were invented in the Milky Way while the mini-drones were perfected in Pegasus.
