Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for chipping in on some crypto articles. You might be interested in the Cryptography "WikiProject" here. — Matt Crypto 00:39, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
I'm not as active as I had been due to other constraints and so have only just noticed your entry into the WikiProject:Cryptography. And find myself, as so often trailing in Matt's wake. Does he ever sleep? Anyway, re welcome to the crypto corner. You've done good work thus far, and if we all keep it up, we might yet take over the world for crypto! Thanks for your efforts, glad to have you aboard. ww 17:38, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Renyi entropy edit
Thanks for changing the Renyi entropy entry so promptly. A couple more questions/suggestions: Is "weakly decreasing" a synonym for "non-increasing"? If so, I believe the latter is more standard, and I'll change it to that. Also, am I right in thinking that the inequality
should instead be

[edit] Mathematics CotW
Hey DR, I am writing you to let you know that the Mathematics Collaboration of the week(soon to "of the month") is getting an overhaul of sorts and I would encourage you to participate in whatever way you can, i.e. nominate an article, contribute to an article, or sign up to be part of the project. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks--Cronholm144 20:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regular prime
If an article says "it is conjectured (Siegel, 1964)" then many readers will expect to find it in the references. Can you give the reference? I assume it's by Carl Ludwig Siegel. If no reference is given then I think it should be reformulated to something like "it was conjectured by Siegel in 1964". This assumes Siegel made the conjecture in 1964. If he just wrote about it then a reference should be given and the article body should probably not mention Siegel or 1964. PrimeHunter (talk) 00:53, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding [1] the reference. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:27, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
