My name is Dennis. I'm a 39 year old divorced father of two and a native of Santa Cruz, California. I've lived on the East Coast since 1977, and New York City has been my home since 1992. My interests include history and architecture, science and technology, and my family and children.
I work as a Project Manager of information and technology systems. Some of my duties include working with software programmers, network administrators, and business developers to build and maintain databases, search engines, and proprietary software.
Before entering web development in 1995, I was self-employed as a graphics artist and general contractor in NYC. Prior to settling in downtown Manhattan in 1992, I spent 4 years running private yachts (of the 50'–60' variety...mostly just sport fishing). I spent my summer months on boats in New York Harbor and on Long Island Sound either fishing off the Hudson Canyon or cruising the harbor resorts between New York and Martha's Vineyard. My winter months were spent both on boats and on dry land in Miami and Key Largo or cruising the Caribbean. In between seasons, I delivered boats between New England and Florida for boat owners and brokers.
