Myong Choi (born May 13, 1989) is an American actor. He was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to California only several months old. He began his acting career with several commercial spots on TV in 1997; notably, a McDonalds ad in 2000. He subsequently appeared in several independent movies as part of the supporting cast. In 2002, he appeared in Better Luck Tomorrow with a minor role. He is of Korean ancestry.

[edit] Early life
The oldest of two children, was born in Seoul, [[South Korea] to Hye Young, a retired home economics teacher, and Kak Soo Choi, a business entrepreneur. His sister is currently a senior at South High School. Myong grew up in Torrance and attended South High School. While Myong attended school, he took part in several school plays; however, he never received major parts, citing his inexperience at acting. In his spare time, he played the piano and drew. Myong noted that during his younger years, he wanted to become a musician.
Myong graduated from South High School in 2007 and is currently attending Otis College of Art and Design as a freshman. During this time, Myong has retired from acting. He plans to return to acting upon graduation from Otis.

In 1997, Myong auditioned for a Nike commercial but failed to make it to the final audition. However, he was spotted by his former manager who immediately signed Myong up. Later in that year, Myong took part in an audition for a Nerf and received a major role in it. In 2000, Myong was cast in a McDonald’s ad. Myong subsequently appeared on WB's Gilmore Girls (in a May 2001 episode, “Love, Daisies, and Troubadours”, playing an extra) but did not obtain steady acting job to continue his education.
While Myong held many uncredited roles, his major break came when he was cast in Better Luck Tomorrow in 2002 with a minor role. From 2004 to 2006, Myong played minor roles in several independent films.

On August 27, 2007, Myong began attending Otis College of Art and Design. He has stated that he will be majoring in Digital Media, specifically, visual effects.
Myong’s younger sister currently attends South High School as a senior.
Myong is a major fan of DC Comics and hopes to play a role in the revamped Superman Returns series. Myong has also mentioned that any role for a DC character will be sufficient.
