Dreamfall Chapters is the upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed and award-winning adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall. On 1 March 2007, it was announced that unlike its predecessors, it will be released in episodic format.[1] The game is being developed by Funcom and designed by Ragnar Tørnquist.

Contrary to earlier speculation that Dreamfall Chapters would form the basis of an MMO game, the developers have asserted that the proposed game will be distributed online, but "not as an MMO".[citation needed]

[edit] Story

Tørnquist since commented that the story of Dreamfall Chapters will pick up exactly where Dreamfall ended or even before that, to present its ending from an alternative point of view.[2] On his blog, he also dropped several hints at the future development of the story,[3][4] although how serious they are remains open. In June 2008, Tørnquist confirmed that Zoë Castillo and Kian Alvane will be returning in Chapters but refused to comment on April Ryan's situation after the ending of Dreamfall.[5]
