DrDaveHPP became a Wikipedia user some time in 2004. It was two years before he created this user page, on 3 September 2006.

His academic qualifications include a doctorate in Modern History from the University of Birmingham titled The Volksschule in National Socialist Germany with special reference to Hamburg, submitted and accepted in 1991.
