DRBCC Hindu College has as its acronym DHARMAMURTHI RAO BHAHADUR CALAVALA CUNNAN CHETTY'S Hindu College. It is one of the best colleges in Avadi. Many science courses are offered in it such as BSc(Bachelor of Science), BCA(Bachelor of Computer Application), MSc(Master of Science), MCA(Master of Computer Applications). It also offers many arts courses such as B.COM and BBM.
Hindu college is the only college in India to have a railway very near with its own name (Hindu College).
Hindu College has two divisions, day college and evening college.
It is situated 3 km west of Avadi and 25 km from Chennai Central station.
