Dr. Sukhbir Singh Kapoor

Dr. Sukhbir Singh Kapoor (born 21 November in Amritsar) studied in the Universities of Punjab, Agra, Glasgow and London. He has a passion for both learning and teaching. His academic and professional achievements include qualifications of Ph.D. M.Comm. M.A. (Law) B.Comm (Hons) LL.B FCMA and FCCA. In this early career he was professor and head of Accounting at SGTB Khalsa College Delhi and Principal Lecturer in Accounting at London Guildhall University. Later he became a Guest Professor of Sikhism at FVG Antwerp Belgium. His executive posts are : Director - Principal Khalsa College London and currently as Vice Chancellor World Sikh University London.
Dr. Kapoor also has a passion for writing. He has written, to date, 48 books of which 42 are on various aspects of Sikhism, one on Economic theory, one on Business Administration, one on Accounting Practice and three on Panjabi poetry. His regular articles have appeared in many English and Panjabi magazines, and he has to his credit many hundred such articles.
His academic work has brought him numerous awards from various institutions, but the award which is very close to his heart is Punjabi Academy Award, Government of Delhi.
Dr. Kapoor also has love for dramatics and poetic symposiums. He has organized many such symposiums and has directed many plays during his University life. He is also a soldier at heart and still remembers his military training as a cadet at Kamti for NCC, where he was commissioned as an officer.
Dr. Kapoor loves painting and the long hall in his house is decorated with his memorable paintings.
In the field of Journalism, Dr. Kapoor has the honour of editing Sikh Courier International. The Sikh Courier International is the only English magazine, published outside India, which is devoted solely to Religious publications.
