Weir Elementary School is a two storey building built in 1963 and named after Dr. George M. Weir, the Minister of Education in the late 1930's and early 1940's. In the year 2000, a new eight room addition to the school was completed. The school population is approximately 460 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7.
