I'm thinking that the Rev Wilfred Passmore was something of a sadist. He seemed to spend most of his evenings, after supper, flogging boys and sometimes for the slightest of reasons. Would he not have done better to speak to his victims, explaining why they should work a bit harder, rather than just reaching for one of his canes ? CPM.
