Downtown Miamisburg

Downtown Miamisburg is a section of Miamisburg, Ohio, United States that provides small independent stores and shops.

Downtown Miamisburg was once the city's commercial center, but Downtown Miamisburg was diminished greatly due to:

• I-75 replacing U.S. Route 25 and other key roads
• Bigger shops and stores opening nearby in Miamisburg
• Opening of the Dayton Mall
• Downtown's aging housing and commercial spaces.

Due to the growth of nearby suburbs Downtown Miamisburg has seen little to no growth at all. In 2000 the government of Miamisburg decided to restore Downtown. Currently the plans have started and the city is looking into building a Riverscape Park alongside the local river. Also many historic buildings in Miamisburg have been restored.

In Miamisburg the visitor may see many small stores and food centers such as TJ Chumps. Many other historical buildings are located Downtown such as the Baum Opera House, Gebhart Tavern, Market Square, and Library Park nearby.
