[edit] Fact-value distinction aka Naturallist Fallacy

You have twice edited the Fact-value distinction article in a very curious way. I did not see this small change- that in effect completely changes the concept's essential meaning and definition- until now, so I might have been a little peeved when I noticed it again (as it seems sad the article was misrepresenting the term for many weeks). You should try to comment new changes at the bottom of the page, or at least use a colon to indent your comment and sign the comment under the old heading.

As I wrote on the page, you have completely misrepresented the concept by insisting the The Naturalistic Fallacy is the CONFUSING of facts and values. I have never heard anyone suggest this, and if you want to persuade others of this point you should include references. Obviously, I have come to the conclusion you don't understand the concept- which essentially calls into the question the existence of facts and values as independently existent entities. Whether most people use these terms, understand this concept, or let alone believe it to be true, is irrelevant. This is a philosophical point- what is a value? What is a fact? These are the questions Putnam's articles examine. If you have some source that supports your definition of the term, then by all means change back the article, or expand with proper references. --Mikerussell 16:56, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Credibility Gap Shearer Lander McKean.jpg.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Credibility Gap Shearer Lander Guest.jpg. The copy called Image:Credibility Gap Shearer Lander Guest.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
