[edit] Posthumous Promotion?

It seems to me unusual that Capt. Reynolds would have been promoted after his death.

Unfortunately, looking through the references, I can find no specific mention of when Maj. Reynolds was promoted from the rank of Capt. This said, it seems more likely that he did not receive this commission posthumously.

If, perhaps, he held a brevet command which was confirmed after his death, this should be noted.

In summary, I will re-order the sentences to suggest that Maj. Reynolds received his commission before his death, pending research stating the contrary. Supasheep (talk) 17:15, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
