Douglas McDonald, commonly known as Dougie McDonald (born October 8, 1965)[1]) is a Scottish football referee in the Scottish Premier League.
McDonald has refereed two cup finals to date: the 2006 Scottish Cup Final between Hearts and Gretna, and the 2007 Scottish League Cup Final between Hibernian and Kilmarnock. Coincidentally, both Edinburgh sides won the cup concerned.
McDonald is a Transport Planner by profession. He was recently promoted to the position of Divisional Director by his employer, MVA Consultancy[2].
