Doug Casey

Douglas "Doug" Casey is an American free market economist, best-selling financial author, and international investor and entrepreneur. Since 1979, he's written a monthly investment newsletter, The International Speculator.
His 1979 book Crisis Investing (1979) became the largest selling financial book in history,[1] listing at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list for a total of 12 non-consecutive weeks.[2][3]
Casey has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including Donahue, David Letterman, Regis Philbin, Charlie Rose, Merv Griffin, NBC News, and CNN. He's been the subject of articles in People, U.S., Time, Forbes, The Washington Post, and numerous other publications. [4] He was the biggest single contributor to Harry Browne's 1996 and 2000 presidential campaigns.[citation needed] He is a frequent contributor to Canada's largest financial website, StockHouse, as well as free-market online magazines WorldNetDaily and LewRockwell.com, as well to the libertarian publication Liberty, where he often espouses his anarcho-capitalist views. He supports Ron Paul's run for president in 2008.[5]
Casey has lived in twelve countries, and visited 175.[6] His offices are located in the town of Stowe, Vermont.[7]
