Double clienting

Double clienting refers to the practice of running two instances of a piece of client software at once. This has been used, for example, by players to gain an unfair advantage in networked games: they log in to a server from two clients, using different player characters, and one character helps the other. However, there is not necessarily anything wrong with double clienting, e.g. when it is done with non-game servers.
