In nutrition, medicine, and toxicology:

• Dose (biochemistry), the quantity of something that may be eaten by or administered to an organism, or that an organism may be exposed to. Quantities of nutrients, drugs, and toxins are referred to as doses.

In medicine and toxicology:

• Effective dose, the smallest amount of a substance required to produce a measurable effect on a living organism
• Absorbed dose, an amount of radiation received
• Equivalent dose, a measure of radiation dosage to tissue
• Dosing, the process of administering a measured amount of a medicine or chemical

Dosage is a synonym for dose, but it can also refer to:

• Dosage (album), the fourth studio album by the band Collective Soul

• Dosage Index, a mathematical figure used by breeders of race horses to quantify a horse's ability, or inability, to negotiate the various distances at which horse races are run.
