Talk:Dora Maar au Chat
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The history of the painting contradicts itself. It mentions that it was in Dora Maar's possession until her death. The next sentence says the painting was bought in the 1940s by a couple of collectors.
- Removed. While Dora Maar did retain many of the portraits that Picasso painted of her until her death, there's no evidence that this particular one was among them and it is directly contradicted by other evidence. Pimlottc 14:52, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cubism {{fact}}
Is this not a cubist piece? I'm no art critic, but it seems pretty clearly cubist to me. Pimlottc 17:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image
Is there anything being done about posting a picture of the painting? It is rather sadistic to create an article about a great painting and deprive readers of a fuller experience. A.G. Pinkwater 02:18, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
