Dorothea Lasky

Dorothea Lasky is an American poet. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 27, 1978.
Lasky earned her BA in Classics and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her MFA in Poetry from the University of Massachusetts Amherst's MFA Program for Poets & Writers, and her Ed.M. in Arts & Education from Harvard University.
Collections of Lasky's poetry include Alphabets and Portraits (Anchorite Press, 2004), Art (H NGM N Press, 2005), and The Hatmaker's Wife (Braincase Press, 2006). A full-length book of Lasky's poetry, Awe, was published in the Fall of 2007 by Wave Books.
Lasky co-edits the Katalanché Press chapbook series with poet Michael Carr. She currently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the University of Pennsylvania.
