Dormlife

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dormlife is an acoustic power pop band from McHenry County, IL, about 40 miles outside Chicago. Dormlife is self-described as "a power house of pop that even your mom will tap her foot to" [1]. The band was formed in 2003 by Sam Swanson and Mike DeBoer, formerly of Midwest Blue. In 2005, the band released their debut, "It's Not Me, It's You" on Alarm Clock Records. As of April 2007, Dormlife is planning on releasing their second record, "Roses Are Blue" in Summer 2007.

[edit] Trivia

The band's first show was a birthday party for a huge fan of Midwest Blue, and consisted only of Swanson on an acoustic guitar and DeBoer on drums. Strangely, the other band that played the party was Farewell Night, who's frontman was Jon Walker, who went on to play bass in Panic! at the Disco.
