Talk:Donaustadt

[edit] Translation
Im not sure how to translate Entlastungsgerinne. I believe it's a side channel built parallel to the Danube that is used to help control the river's height when it begins to fill up... Not sure what that would be in English!
[edit] Name is Donau City on Vienna's website
This is Donau City in the German language on the Vienna city website wien.at at http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtentwicklung/donaucity/ yet that was a redlink until I just created the redirect here. Is there even any reliable source for "Donaustadt"? Or are there slightly different things involved here, different government entities or whatever? Gene Nygaard (talk) 10:44, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, in looking more closely at the article, I see:
- "In addition to these eight territories, Donaustadt also contains a ninth area, Donau City (officially part of Kaisermühlen), which is between the Alte Donau ("Old Danube") and Neue Donau ("New Danube")."
- In any case, the redirect here is still appropriate. Gene Nygaard (talk) 10:48, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
