Dear Jannjim, I`m afraid I really can`t understand why you have removed the reference to the circumstances (and potential consequences of) the world record javelin throw at The Don Valley Stadium. I was there and it did happen, comments were made about it in the media at the time. Is it that you think it inappropriate to be amusing in a Wiki article ? Provided the comment is accurate and brief I`m afraid I couldn`t disagree with you more. The best teachers at school, the ones who taught you things that stuck in your mind, used relevant humour to communicate facts. I`m prepared to bet that anyone reading this article will remember a world record javelin throw was set at Don Valley, isn`t that the point ? I would be interested to hear your argument(s).
