Donald John Deacon (born June 2, 1913 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada – died December 25, 1943) was a professional ice hockey winger who played parts of three seasons for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League from 1936–37 to 1939–40.
Deacon played 30 career NHL games scoring six goals and four assists for ten points. In his only two playoff games, he scored two goals and added an assist. Deacon perished when he fell from a balcony at a friend's Christmas party while on military leave in 1943.[1]
