Don't Destroy Me is a rockabilly song written by Mann/Sharpiro. It was originally recorded by "Crash" Craddock in 1959. Don't Destroy Me was his first hit song in the United States, he would later become a popular country singer in the 1970's. The song stayed on the charts for one week at #94. It and the flipside of the record, Boom Boom Baby, were big hits in Australia in 1959-1960.
