Kivuvu is very well known for his intense strength and his high work rate, and these attributes have allowed him to establish a starting position for NEC Nijmegen, in the heart of their midfield. He's also known for having a very powerful, accurate shot, which he showed by scoring a screamer against giants Feyenoord.

[edit] The Angola link

Dutch-born Angolan Dominique Kivuvu has been chased by the Angolan Soccer Association to play for the Angola national football team. He has reportedly turned down the chance to play for Angola at the Nations Cup to be held in Ghana in January 2008. Kivuvu, who has dual-citizenship, has been making his mark in the Eredivisie - the Dutch first division - with NEC Nijmegen.

"With my two passports and no full caps, I can still make the decision to choose for Holland or Angola," he told a Dutch newspaper. "I am hoping to be part of the Dutch Olympic football team at the Games in Beijing 2008," he said.
