Domesticus (Latin: belonging to the house), is found in the binomial or trinominal names of many species or subspecies of animals commonly found in or around the home. Examples include:
- Felis domesticus, the common house cat.
- Gallus gallus domesticus, the chicken.

- Sus domesticus, the domestic pig.
