Domenico
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Domenico is the name of a brand of hand-made cigars produced by the Domenico Cigar and Tobacco Growers’ Cooperative in Potamia, Greece.
[edit] Background
The company was founded in at the initiative of Yiannis Tsoutsos, the mayor of Potamia. Greece had no tradition in cigar manufacturing, so Tsoutsos and a group of local agriculturists travelled to Cuba in 2000 to acquire a fundamental know-how of the industry. After a period of trial-and-error, the Domenico brand was launched in 2004.
The current line of cigars includes coronas, robustos, churchills and cigarillos.
