All fair use images are copyrighted. "Fair Use" uis an exemption to the copyright law which allows, under special circumstances, copyrighted materisl to be used. Unreproduceable news events are among the potential reasons for exemption. -Willmcw 23:21, August 3, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] West Frisian article

Hi Dolfy,

I'd like to commend you for your work on the West Frisian-related articles. I noticed you've been referring West Frisian (language) to as a "go-between language". You might consider using the word Creole, as no one in English refers to them as go-between languages. You might want to change the title of that article too. Another question, is it the same language as Stadsfries?

Thanks again for you work. --Khoikhoi 01:34, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you, and oke good to know, and maybe better indeed and better for a distinction between the two also.
And you're question about Stadsfries, it's something like that yes, only difference is that Stadsfries as more of a Hollandic Dutch starting point, while West Frisian as more of Frisian/West Frisian language starting point and Stadsfries is also later in date and therefore slightly bit more modern. So there is a bit of difference between the two. Dolfy 01:59, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi Dolfy, I appreciate your work for the West Frisian language. The current page name is "West Frisian (creole language)" but West Frisian is definitely not a Creole language. There is not a reference of source that supports that view. Please look at the definition of a Creole language. It is also not a "go-between language". West Frisian is (was) a substrate language that is slowly replaced by a superstrate language; Dutch. Please re-rename the page back. [edit] Misspelling on userpage

It's "English", not "Englisch". ;-) Cheers! —Khoikhoi 19:56, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
