Dolores Delirio is one the most important rock bands in Perú. It was formed in 1994 by Pepe Inoñan, Ricardo Brenneisen and Josué Vásquez. Its sound is a mix of hard rock, electronic effects and eighties' darkwave, somewhat similar to Chile's Lucybell.

In 1995 they released their first album Cero which contained the anthems A Cualquier Lugar and Carmen, classic songs in Peru. In 1997 they released the live album Dolores Delirio Live, shortly after that, their guitarrist, Jeffrey Parra died in a car accident.

Next year they released Raíz, an album with a darker sound, successful as well. They performed until 2003 when they entered into an indefinite hiatus. In 2006, lead singer, Ricardo Brenneisen, announces his departure from the band. Fans expected the dissolution of the band.

Dolores Delirio announced that they will continue with a new singer and release a new album. The lead singer was keep on secret until 2007 when they announced that Luis Sanguinetti, was the new lead singer and they were working in an EP, called Histeria. Luis Sanguinetti is better known for being bassist in Leusemia, for about 8 years, and for his public fight with Leusemia's lead singer, Daniel F. in December 2007 they released Histeria EP, it was one of the best sellers records in Peru during 2007.
