[edit] Long lists of performers

Earlier today, I removed a long and random list of people who have performed Doc Pomus' songs. I've done this in general on articles of prolifically recorded composers and such; for example, George Gershwin or Harold Arlen's songs have been performed by everyone who has ever done a standard. It's OR to cherry pick a sample of the huge number of artists who have performed Pomus', or Gershwin's, or Arlen's songs. We might, perhaps, be able to say "According to Pomus expert XXX, the definitive recordings of Doc Pomus have been by YYY and ZZZ". But otherwise, it's an unhelpful paragraph in the article. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 23:31, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
