McGhee was arrested when smuggling 40,000 lbs of marijuana into North Carolina from Colombia in 1982. He has previously been busted for smuggling of cocaine into Louisiana. After pleading guilty, McGhee received a five-year suspended prison sentence, a fine of $15,000, and was ordered to set up an anti-drugs foundation, which he named the Make A Difference Foundation.

This factoid seems to have come from a Motley Crue fan site. Is there a reliable source for this arrest? the factoid is also mirrired here but again it's not clear where this foundation came from.

At the very least, the association with the Make a Difference Foundation appears to be wrong. The foundtation says that it was founded by a real estate broker named Marty Moore.

There is a second Make a Difference Foundation but that too seems to have different founders. It also states that it was founded in 2003, far too late to be related to that drug case.--72.70.22.244 21:09, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
