I am proud to say that I am the maternal great-granddaughter of Prince Dmitry Ivanovitch Sviatopolk-Mirskii. I am learning alot about him on the internet as I'm doing research on my family history. Prince Dmitry Ivanovtich Sviatopolk-Mirskii was once the owner of the famed Mir Castle. It is currently being restored and it looks really beautiful now; work still needs to be done on the interior, but I understand that this is coming on very nicely too.

I have been three times to my former family ancestral home and am always happy to be there. I shall be returning next Summer for the 'official opening' of the Cafe Knyazhnya Mariya (named after me!).
